Emission of common air pollutants declined

America’s air is cleaner today than we have seen in recorded history. Emissions of common air pollutants declined by 7% since 2017.
In 2019, the U.S. had the largest absolute decline of energy-related carbon dioxide emissions of any country in the world.
US announced withdrawal from the 2015 Paris Agreement in June 2017 which is effective as of November 2020 which then reduces the US financial aid to the international Green Climate fund by $3 billion.
