In 2025, the Department of Justice announced a task force to investigate alleged failures by institutions to protect Jewish students from discrimination, while the Department of Education initiated its own probes. Over 60 colleges and universities are under investigation for potential violations related to antisemitic discrimination...


Some of the universities identified by the Task Force are:

  • Columbia University: $200M to Administration + $21M to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

  • University of California, Los Angeles - $6.1M settlement to Students + $1.2B fine to settle anti-semitism and civil rights violations.

  • Harvard University: Over $2.2 billion in federal research funding was frozen/threatened.

  • Brown University: $50M fine paid to State workforce development program.

  • Cornell University: Over $1 billion in federal funding was frozen/threatened during a federal investigation.

  • UCLA: $584 million in federal research grants (NIH, NSF, etc.) were suspended in July 2025.
